Step 1: Conduct an SEO audit
The first step of getting back to the top of Google maps is by conducting a thorough SEO Audit. One of the first things I like to do before running my site through an SEO audit tool or crawler is seeing exactly which pages are indexed in Google. To do this go to google and type in site:[yourwebsite.com] just like its shown in the screenshot below. This advanced search operator allows us to view only the pages on our website that are indexed in Google. The next step is to install the SEOQuake Google Chrome extension. Once it has been installed, go to your Google search settings and change the number of results on each page to 100 instead of 10. [/fusion_text]2. Export all of the search results. We want to get all of the pages that are in the first 100 results to see what comes up. We can use this data in numerous ways, but for now, we are going to use it to ensure that none of your website’s pages that are indexed in Google are broken links.
